Q. What is the header light/dark toggle?

A small sun/moon button in the header that lets visitors switch schemes themselves, whatever your site default is. Their choice is saved in the browser and remembered on the next visit, with no flash of the wrong scheme on load.

It’s on by default. If you’d rather decide for your visitors, turn it off under Customize → Theme colors → Show light/dark toggle in the header.
